The Chemistry Festival was first initiated in Puerto Rico by Prof. Ingrid Montes in 2005. Since then, the Festivals have expanded to a number of partner ACS chapters outside the USA, including Mexico, Malaysia, China or Hungary. The Australian Chapter - ACS Chemistry Festival will be co-organized between the ACS (American Chemical Society) and the RACI (Royal Australian Chemistry Institute) to bring over 300 high-school students to the Centenary RACI Congress for a day of learning and fun! An introduction to the world of chemistry
The objectives of the Chemistry Festival are to promote all forms of Chemistry and educate about the positive impact of Chemistry on people's every day lives. The Chemistry Festival also aims at sharing the values and often hidden potential of Chemistry. This year the Australian Chapter - ACS Chemistry Festival will be focused on the role of Chemistry to protect the community with a range of hands-on and demonstration activities in close link with outreach programs led and organized by the RACI.
